Mexican War c. 1847 Major General Coatee, FEDERAL pattern with federal staff buttons all original to coatee, one each small coat cuff button missing at top of row on each cuff, cuff was shortened. The cuff buttons are functional. Tight cuffs, lovely 6 point staff stars on tails, detachable somewhat worn major general boards, one star is slightly different than the others, having a blue ool backing. Not replaced, period done for sure, slilghtest of velvet seperations on a couple spots on the collar. SUPER rare coatee, came into federal use in that format in 1832 and changed in 1848, so its Mexican War for sure, this is guarnateed to be Federal coatee, buttons in groups of 2 per regs for a general. Civil War named Rhode Island staff Captain frock coat and belt, man was a combat enlisted man in a RI Cavalry unit, later on the RI State staff and briefly adjutant general, acting. Coat has a few moth holes that could be fixed, lined well and named clearly, comes with nice sword belt with medium width catch and complete hangers, fairly soft leather, etc. Also some paperwork copies and a single piece of original paper to him. This man dies in 1869, and was only a Captain in the war. SUPER piece, rare to find named, bright and with large billow sleeves and peg cuffs. Nice RI CW state buttons throughout, none missing. Triple border shoulder straps are wonderfully beautiful. $5000 PHOTO PHOTO PHOTO

WWI Imperial German 38th Infantry Regiment officer tunic, SUPER condition, maker tag is from East Prussia where the unit was based, they were 2nd line at the Somme. Untouched, and guaranteed original and rare! PHOTO PHOTO PHOTO $2200
